BRIGETTE HASS is one of the leading practitioners in her field. Since 1987 she has worked tirelessly at improving peoples health and well-being. She says: When observing and listening to the clients need, by essentialising the skills I acquire I discover daily more effective direct and more potent ways of working; I uncover how the body and how healing and restoring health work. This has lead me to what is now called Yogic Touch Therapy. Yogic Touch is an ever meta-morphing approach, as the need of the client changes, so the way I work deepens develops and grows. As I gain new understanding in my own learning so does the interaction with the client benefit.

Yogic Touch is at all times non-invasive and non-manipulative in nature.

Treatment is very gentle - can be extremely powerful and deep - and is always appropriate to your needs.

What it is: It is estimated that approximately 70% of disease and health problems are caused by accumulated stress. Yogic Touch deals first and foremost with reducing the stress in your body.

Yogic Touch can include deep tissue mobilisation, acupressure, massage, energy healing, stretching, body-alignment, and stress-management techniques.

The Yogic Touch practitioner is trained to find the appropriate depth you require, this means that you are aided to feel at ease and relaxed at all times. At the same time clear attention is given to the symptoms. The depth and pressure always need to be so you feel safe; this facilitates true healing and release from the stress patterns the body is holding.

Brigette explains: When we talk about appropriate depth/pressure, I would like to give an example. If someone where to hit your hand, the natural reaction is to make a fist. I suggest, similarly, when too much depth, pressure, force, or even too much energy is applied by the practitioner to an area of the body, the muscle fibre, cells tighten up and DO NOT release the tension held in it. In fact it closes down - reinforcing the tension pattern.

A Session: The initial consultation will help clarify your need and how we might best proceed. The client has the choice to be fully clothed - loose comfortable clothes are of benefit but not essential - or dressed down to underwear. During a Yogic Touch session your body is stilled, and when the limbs are moved this is done in a supported relaxing slow way, to facilitate the letting go. You may want to give some feedback as to how you are feeling, so we can tune in to your concerns more accurately. When the body feels heavy it is a sign that adrenaline has released from the cells and the Nervous System has calmed down. This is the first step to healing, and restoring you to health. A session will help you to feel much more relaxed, more at ease and energised, and more in touch with yourself.

How it works: As you will see Yogic Touch works simultaneously in a variety of ways. That is why it is so effective. The practitioner works appropriately with the energy, so releasing the tension from your energy body / energy field and from the muscles and tissues in the body. This will help you to feel more calm and much more at ease. The Nervous System is calmed and so the immune system gets strengthened. Holding and stretching techniques align the body and so release aches and pains and long-standing stress patterns. The Muscle Memory Release Technique releases muscular aches and pains. In addition as the body is calmed, your mind is able to let go.

Yogic Touch facilitates the changes in your life. The energy work releases stress, tension, relaxes and revitalises. Through the massage, deep tissue mobilisation and body-alignment techniques muscular aches and pains are released. Improving posture helps to release unwanted patterns and restores you to a stress free body. Overall the mind and Nervous System calm and you feel an inner harmony. Your mind thoughts emotions may feel calmer and you may gain a greater understanding or overview and ease. Your whole being can shift into a peaceful happier state.

Who may benefit: Liberating the body of stress will let you look and feel younger. Many symptoms, acute and longstanding, can greatly benefit from Yogic Touch treatment; these include Jetlag, backache, any muscular tension, sciatica, headaches, tiredness, restlessness, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, raised blood pressure, sexual and relationship problems, and M.S.. Yogic Touch also works when you want to loose weight. Longstanding conditions may require a few sessions or regular treatment to release the accumulated holding patterns.

Sessions give essential confidence in dealing with the changes and natural processes all the way to the birth and for connecting more deeply with the baby.
